I think this is an absolutely brilliant topic to talk about. Everyone now is so obsessed with being perfect they forgot how already perfect they are! With plastic surgeries and laser technology all within reach, I’m not surprised how youths these days are actually saving money to bust themselves up or alter the creation they are already gifted with.
Just like how fat girls wish they were slim, and how slim girls wish they’re fat, both see their differences as PERFECT. How can there be TWO definition of perfect? There’s only one, and that’s you!
I dare say no one is happy with how they’ve grown to look, somehow somewhere they find the flaw in which they find in themselves JUST BECAUSE they’ve found it in others. In other words, something they do not have. But those who are thankful and really happy with how they look are usually the ones who believe that imperfections are meant to exist and the most important thing is that, they accept themselves for the way they are.

I mean imagine this, if you’ve got one wish and you ask for a sharp nose because in your perspective people with sharp nose are gorgeous and ta-da wish fulfilled. But then you realized no, your face don’t suit a sharp nose and then you ask for a sharp chin to match your sharp nose. But you can’t cause you’ve only got one wish but because you asked for it, okay wish fulfilled. AHHHHH, no, this time, the cheeks! They’re too chubby for a sharp nose and chin!! And the list goes on and on and on -.-
Lesson here is that, you will never, and I mean, NEVER will be satisfied with everything you have in this world. However you look and whatever you do to your face or arms or legs, it’s never going to be perfect. Even if okay well, plastic surgery helped you gain a sharper angle, have you ever thought how its going to be like 10 years down the road?

I’m not one to say that I am perfect but I believe I am. For a cliché reason like ‘God is perfect, and He makes no mistakes, therefore I am perfect’ (in which I give a 100% thumbs up to)! It took me quite a while before I really understood the meaning behind this quote. You see, saying and understanding is two very different words., and coming to accept the reality of it is even harder than I thought. You can say ‘yeah I am perfect’ but back home you’re whining how you wish to be like Jennifer Lopez or Kim Kardashian for that matter, that’s not believing! That is being a hypocrite, not only to yourself but to the people you say it to. You know what’s the most funniest thing ever? Saying you want to look like someone who’s got plastic surgery all over her records.
So how do you accept yourself? Get real. Think Realistic, Act Realistic and BE Realistic. Practicalize those thoughts into actions and make IT HAPPEN. If there’s something about you that you’re able to amend, like say your health, do it practically. Go running, not lipsuction! If you don’t like the way you look, think about how you can go around it. You’ve put on weight but you’re lazy? Start jogging. You’ve got eye bags? Start sleeping already! Such is brought onto yourself because of YOURSELF. Surgery can only go so far.

I chanced upon this quote earlier;
Beautiful people not always good but good people are always beautiful
So you see, physical appearance is not everything. How you are as a person, is what’s important. You can have the slimmest thighs, the flattest tummy, the sharpest face, the curviest figure, but if you strip them all away, and you’re left with nothing but your soul, ask yourself, is it as good as how people perceive your appearance to be like? I trust blind people, because they give the most genuine and sincerest comments, they have the most honest point of view and they are such beautiful people. And even if they do judge you, it’s all because they’ve seen something in which the eye fail to see.
To wrap this up, love yourself, no matter how imperfect you think you are. Soon you’ll realize how really perfect you are. Well for a start, you might want to start tellin yourself that for some things you have, others don’t because you are uniquely YOU, and that’s what make you special as a person.

Just the way we back track this sunset. The light comes when you start to look beyond your own imperfections (in this case the hills). Isn’t it just beautiful?
