Weekends & Family Time

Hurray Its FRIDAY!

I love the smell of every week as it comes to an end. Even if two days seem too little to ask, there’s more to appreciate than we can ever expect. Of course aside from the fact that it’s finally the last day of work for the week – to me it also means….Family Time!

If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’ll be aware of an addition to our little family. Yes, cookie gave birth to two heros last week! Since we name her cookie, we reckon her lil kittens should be named similar – thus I present ;

Famous & Amos!!

Okay so you can’t really see them but once they start opening their eyes, I’ll make sure you’ll get updated as they grow! I’m so excited to have them around :)

Family time is so hard to get considering the time everyone spends out of home. We get to catch up over weekends though which I’m so grateful for. I think it’s important we spend time with our loved ones. Everyday as I pray I recall how our lives are getting shorter by the minute. It is very depressing to think that one day we won’t be able to spend so much time together as we do now.

One day when everyone grows a little older, get married, have kids, and leave the house, it’s going to be sooooooooo different. Pushing that thought aside, yes it is rather sad but I like to make do with what I have in my hands and go for it. Rather not dwell on future when we are to live the present to the fullest no? (Yes at some point we have to think about our future, but why worry when we can appreciate it now?)

It’s like no matter how much we fight, how we annoy one another, how we get terribly upset with each other, we’ll always find our way back.  I am aware though some family are brought up differently and you guys probably express your love to your family with a twist compared to mine, but let me just say this -

There’s nothing to be ashamed of to tell our parents we love them!

They deserve it more than we know and it means the world to them to hear those three words. Of course at the very first time we do, it’s going to be a-w-k-w-a-r-d, but trust me it will be something one will never regret. I get very emotional when I hear friends saying how they wished they’d tell their parents they love them before they left – so don’t waste your chance when you’ve got it right here, right now :) Make their day, even if it’s for no specific reason! Have a good weekend and spread the love :D

Keep Smiling,

-Hana
